- I have the algorithms CD and I believe it's worth it just on the price
- alone. If you had bought all the books that's on the CD separately,
- it would probably cost over $300. "The Introduction to Algorithms"
- title is probably close to 1000 pages in hard-cover and cost about
- $60. This is considered a good comprehensive reference although it
- leans towards the theoretical side of algorithms analysis. And the
- book by Sahni is pretty good, assuming it's the same text that he used
- to teach his graduate class at Univ of Minnesota. And the
- Frakes/Baeza-Yates's "Information Retrieval" is a good thorough
- introduction text on IR technologies. All these three books deal with
- "high-tech" algorithms, so if all you're interested is the source code
- for Quicksort, then you might just as well stick with Sedgewick. Off
- the top of my head, I can't remember what else is on the CD (but I
- bought it mainly for these 3 books).
